I have a mishmash of folders and program in my start menu and it's PITA that they're not in alphabetical order. Any idea on how to do this? I see the sort button in the 'Classic Start Menu' mode, but no sort option in the normal start menu.
Right click on any item in your start menu and click on 'Sort by Name'..

I usually Explore the Start Menu folder(s) and group folders and icons appropriately.

Yes i periodically go in and clean up my start menus. It can get really messy. I try to group things by Applications, Accessories, and so on. Makes it alot easier to navigate. And then, of course, right click and sort.

You can all just drag them around to any order you want.
