That's a good question. Both YIM and MSN offer it.

there used to be a feature on Dead AIM where you could remove yourself from peoples lists. However, AOL didn't like that, and so they disabled the feature from working completely (dispite which version you have).

Dosn't much matter to me who's list I'm on with Yahoo! IM... I can always set it to accept messages ONLY from people on my list.
