Okay ya bastids...
the winter months is upon us and with that comes the wet and cold weather making riding a bit uncomfortable when your hands are soaked and freezing....
ya go out looking for warm and waterproof gloves but the trade off sometimes are: less protection and/or too bulky giving a vague feedback on the controls or nothing at all...
welp, Racer™, an Austrian company, introduced to America their winter gloves such as the Pluvio as well as the Freezy gloves....both made for winter wet/cold riding.....
First the Pluvio....heavy duty winter gloves that's pretty comfortable and warm...
re-enforced in the palm area with leather with extra padding for those just in case mishaps as well as top of the hand around the finger tips , knuckles, and wrist areas over a gortex material to keep water from soaking through....
a high gaunlet with wrist strap to help keep the gloves on securely with an inner layer neoprene material that goes inside the jacket sleeve also helps keep the hands from getting wet and cold but surprisingly keeps the hands cool when the temperature goes up.....
plenty of feel on the controls despite all the layers too which was an added bonus which I found many other winter gloves to be lacking....
the retail price for this is $115 .......
now for you cheap azz bastids....
same excellent quality and material but less bulk and a bit lighter comes the Racer™ Freezy gloves....
again with an extra layer of leather on the palms for extra protection but with another extra suede material in the areas mostly making contact on the controls as well as in case of an emergency both on the palms as well as the top of the hand....
comes with the wrist strap for more security as well as a nylon elastic inner liner to prevent water from leaking through the jacket sleeves....
just as the Pluvio, the Freezy is quite comfortable giving good feedback on the controls and quite warm and dry when the weather gets warmer....
this for only $40 for the cheap bastid in all of us....
which ever ya go with ya can't go wrong cuz theyre both worth the price and even the less expensive Freezy, you still get good quality , material and workmanship.....
You may have to get a size smaller than some other gloves cuz these things do run a bit big but otherwise excellent gloves from Austria....
The Pluvio
