Does anyone in the east bay (hayward, fremont, CV, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon) have a clutch holding tool (Suzuki Part No. 09929-34830) I could borrow for thursday? I will pick up and drop off. Thanks
Alex
No, sorry. But if you are trying to remove the clutch basket locknut, I recommend using an impact wrench WITHOUT the holding tool. Put the transmission in neutral and make sure you unstake the locknut. Works great on Yamaha's and Honda's.

Are you trying to remove the basket? Or just replace your plates? If you just need to remove the pressure plate, just put the bike into 1st gear, and hold the rear brake on. That will hold the clutch still.
Another trick about a low-budget clutch swap, is that you dont need to drain your oil, just put the bike on the side-stand and all the oil will go to the other side. (Elskipador taught me that :teeth)

no its not for the clutch, but the motion pro clutch hub tool will work and its not as pricey as the suzuki tool.
If you're really cheap you get some old trashed pressure plates and weld a "Y" handle to them. That'll hold the basket and costs as much as scrap steel and some filler rod :)
