Hello,
I have been posting photos each week from the SF meets this winter and finding it can be very time consuming. I love doing it but soon i will not have as much time to spend on it so i thought i would as for short cuts.
Someone had mentioned to me once that there is a way to use Photoshop so that it will resize all the photos in a particular folder all you have to do is select the folder and type in the size you want.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thanks!
I use ACDSee. in their program, using the thumbnail view, I select all the photos i want to edit, then right click and select an option. I don't know if photoshop does it the same way.
Or your camera should have an option for changing the resolution of the photos you're taking. That way you don't have to resize it.

I use borrowed cameras so I don't always know how to select the resolution on it.

I'll try your trick with Photoshop, thanks Kevo!

Only way I know how to do it in PS is......
go to File > Automate > Web Gallery
Choose folder with all the pics in it
Choose new folder where you want resized pics to go
Choose size for pics
Hit OK
PS does it's thing
When your done you've got about 3 folders... One has thumbnail images. Throw it out. One has HTML files in it. Throw it out. One has the resized images in it. Post those.

Download IrFanView from Download.com.
It has a batch mode that allows you change image attributes and size.

Download XP PowerToys (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx)
Once installed, you can select any amount of pictures within a folder, right-click and resize.
And it's free from M$. ;)

Naw - I use it. Pretty easy for making simple web pages with your pics on it...

Photoshop can do it. You can create an Action to do it. Then from the File->Automate->Batch dialog you can perform the action on either opened files or files in a folder. One of the cool features of doing it this way if you can even reaname each file to append to the existing filename.
