OK, here's the deal. In the past I occasionally did motorcycle electrical repair on the side. I haven't done much lately because my #2 son arrived last year and occupied the remainder of my free time.

I'm looking to get back into it, but I need to establish a customer base. I see various posts for folks with (possible) electrical problems. I'd be happy to help any BARFers track down their electrical troubles in exchange for some word-of-mouth advertising.

This is just for electrical troubleshooting or modification, I don't want to step on anyone's toes (or wrench!). Any mechanical needs identified would be referred to the proper person...

I'd be happy to stop by to visit folks in SF, or maybe on the peninsula (I live near Westborough and Skyline in south city). East Bay BARFers would have to come over to meet me.

PM or email paul_dito@yahoo.com to set something up.

Thanks for reading...

I'll probably take you up on that offer. My neighbor has an old Yamaha 360 (late 60's I think) that he claims has an electrical problem with the headlight.

I'm comfortable tearing down carbs for a complexity comparison, and know a fair amount about DC electronics (my Dad taught it in the military for 7 years). What I lack is practical electrical troubleshooting experience on motorcycles.

I'll tackle the old Yamaha after I get a friend's 83 Honda Sabre fixed. (The fool let it sit for 10 years. Ever seen what brake fluid does after 10 years? It crystallizes and corrodes metal.)
