Anybody know how to do the PAIR mod on an 04 GSXR 600? I tried searching on a couple different places, but I couldn't find anything except for people telling others asking the same question to "do a search". Maybe my search skills suck but I couldn't find it. I did find a guy at gixxer.com telling someone all he would tell him is it's different for the 04 GSXR, but he would have to do a search for the mod.

Thanks

theres a couple things you can do for a track bike, doing it on a street bike is totally illegal, but thats your call. 1 remove the pair valve and plug the hole in the air box, route the 2 hoses that came from the motor to the valve to each other. 2 connect the hose that comes from the pair to the air box to the crankcase breather instead.

Thanks!! This bike will be for track use only so I'm trying to get it down to the bare minimums. Would you happen to know if I can also remove the EVAP canister? It looks like it connects to a tank pressure control valve and a fuel shut off valve on the gas tank. Can these just be removed and capped off?

the line/s from the FI can be capped the 1 from the tank is a vent and needs to be open.

aye i know dan kyle make them for the 600rr, but not sure with the 04 gsxr600, you might want to check with them

yeah block off plates are a good idea, though not 100% needed. also leave the pair valve plugged into the wiring harness or you'll get an FI error code.

Ok. Thanks! I was going to ask you about that too. I got some block off plates from Dan Kyle when I had my RC51, but it does'nt look like he has them for the Suzuki.

Elskipador - Just to check, I bought a PAIR removal kit off Ebay (only$15 bucks but it was still a rip-off). It came with 2 plugs, a T-fitting, and 3 pieces of hose. The instructions say connect the 2 hoses coming off the valve cover to the T fitting and then route the third line to the crankcase breather. Then plug the 2 holes in the airbox. Does this sound any better, or should I stick with the 2 connected to each other and leave the crankcase breather going to the airbox? You suggested something similar, but it looks like you wanted me to keep the PAIR hooked up instead of a T-fitting using the PAIR as the T.

yeah that sounds right. either method is fine. i'm saying to leave the pair valve plugged into the wiring harness, but not the motor, or you'll get an fi code.
