There are so many AFM riders on BARF lately I just had to give you guys your own place to hang out. Not that I don't want you on the rest of the board -- I thought you might like a place where you can bench race, post times, discuss politics... whatever. Who the hell am I to guess what an Amateur Racing forum would look like?!?! :loco
Enjoy! :teeth

Thanks for the support Bud, but I nominated someone who I feel is better suited for the job, I think you'd concur with my assessment ;)

Yes the Ifernal Revenue Service hit me up..I had checks from Suzuki for the Cup races, Multiple Sponsor goodies that were taken as income (glad I did that)...and they said OK...your earned 4k spent 10 k...your a good boy.."DON'T lose money again or we'll hobby you to jail..BASTIGES!!!!...
I keep good records of expenses and winnings and that got me through it.. :teeth
If your writing stuff off you got to do it..They are watching.

Is there some kind of different tax bracket involved for being a "professional" racer?

I treated it as a second job and just added the pluses and minuses to the rest of my income. This was'87-89 so I don't know if things have changed.
