Would ultrasonic cleaning, such as that used for carbs, work on a clogged pilot jet? I've got a clogged #35 pilot jet from a 1966 CA110 Honda Sport 50 that I'm finding hard to replace.

i dunno but i have one from a vet clinic that i work at.used to clean surgical insruments and its about 4x4x7(inches)....if u need to use it and it would fit id be happy to let u use it...

the damn thing cleans most everything ive tried with it

Soak it overnight in carburetor cleaner and used some high pressure (125+psi) compressed air on it, making sure you keep ahold of it so it doesn't launch into orbit. Don't ask me how I know this.

Are you talking about an autoclave? I thought those use heat, water, and pressure to clean. Heat and water on brass would cause corrosion, so I need a zero heat answer like ultrasonic cleaners used for jewelry.

I'm going to first try Alan's recommendation. I'll be sure to point at a clean, flat surface in case of an orbital launch. :teeth

Actually we have body, the autoclave is for sterilzation only.. instruments need to be clean bofore they go in there....and that where the ultra sonic cleaner comes in.:angel

get a new 1 for "carbs parts warehouse" in ohio they have almost every jet for every carb.

Soak it in fingernail polish remover for a few hours and then blow it out......

why not just use a jet cleaning tool? do you love chemicals that much? all those chemicals are really bad for you.

K&L #35-3498, Carb Cleaner Wire Set.

those wires are a good tool, i've got several. however a lot of pilot jets are so small that the wire isn't stiff enough to push the crud out.
