just got me a f2. found a cheap 600rr front end. is it true a 600rr would be a direct bolt on?

if so thats not much updating on hondas part.

sorry i cant help

I'm not sure if it is a "direct" bolt on, but be aware, the entire front end would be needed(wheels, brakes, clipons, fender, etc..). Also, you would probably have to get creative with clipons, since the RR are below the triple. A better swap in my opinion is an F4(i). Cheaper, bars above clip on and basically the same front as the RR(for all intensive purposes). GP

well, i already got a nicely set-up 98 f3 front end on it. so i dont think the f4i is much better.

Brakes will be better than your F3's.

The F4i front end is fully adjustable , where the F3 is only preload and rebound. The brake calipers on the F4i are also much better than the F3 set-up. The 600RR front end will bolt-on with no mods , but the steering stops may be a problem.

is that the same diameter as the F2 forks?

Another question - how can I tell what year F2 forks I have? I know the 91-93 are damper type forks and the 94-96? are cartridge. TIA

f2/f3 are 41mm. you're correct 91~93 damper rod and 94~98 are cartridge. though the 94 f2 has different brake mounts than the forks for the f3.
