F3 headlight doesnt work after I removed the guages?

In the process of removing the fairings and guages and all that to streetfighter the F3, the headlight no longer turns on. The bike starts up and runs fine. Is there something that needs to be grounded?

Also, I've read that I need to ground the solid pink wire from the guages in order for the fuel pump to work, is this true?

Any help would be appreciated...

when you hook the guages back up, does the light come back on?

ok well i just plugged guages back in and nothing, then i checked the fuses, oopsy, the headlight one was blown.

i had already taken off the guages already, replaced fuse and it blew again. any reason why the headlight fuse would blow again when i only have a crappy foglight on there?

i had to use a 15 fuse rather than a 10 since I had to 10 spares, but that wouldnt make a diff would it?

btw, everything is plugged in besides the 2 big connectors on back on the guages, one for speedo and tach or temp?

OK nevermind, im a n00b. I had the ground in the wrong connector. oops

If you use a 15 rather than 10, you will be blowing out the bulb and not the fuse (more expensive) if there is a surge.

If you find that you are shorting out the fuse fairly often, then that means there is a short somewhere; exposed wiring or something.
