i just saw this thread and have the same question than RAMA.

My bike runs 120/60 front, 180/55 rear.

as far as the r6's go i have heard 70's make a better difference, but what about for a 636? anyone heard anything?

I imagine kawasaki went with 60's for a reason...?

Usually when you reply to a thread and select to submit it and then you get a message saying, "Please complete the subject and message fields"; it means that you have selected to start a new thread instead of replying to one.

OB: The 636 will also have a different feel with different sized tires on it.

I would suspect that Kawi went with the 120/60/17, 180/55/17 tire combination for a good reason. They probably setup the stock bike to work best with those sizes.

I think the R6's are using the same size combination.

Check around and do your homework before changing over to a 120/70/17 front tire if the manufacturer recommends a 120/60/17.

My 6RR came with a 120/65 ft. tire.

When I replaced it with a 120/70 I chose to raise the rear ride height to compensate for the 'taller' fr. tire.

they put 120/60's on so u can bend you rims on potholes :) check fender clearances when u decide to change sizes :)

I changed to pilot powers and am running a 70 in the front, it felt a little funny at first buy I haven't noticed any big change in the ride.
