I am interested in the fairing set for the street. Would you be willing to sell it separately? Might make you more money...

There are people interested in the package, so if they do not come through I will relist the bike and the bodywork separately.
"1300 miles, runs perfectly
Not Registered
Two full sets of Hotbodies bodywork (extra upper is for street)
- Never been to the track
- Perfect mechanical condition
- Could be converted for street
- Title in hand"
Only 1300 miles on a 2002? Its a track bike, but has never been to the track? Why is it only $3500?

It has never been to the track and has low mileage because I have been putting money and time into this bike slowly over the last 8 months preparing to race. The street upper was intended to register it for the street to teach my girlfriend to ride, but she no longer has time as a result of school. I can no longer afford to keep this second bike or continue to put money into it. I am a student, and I will be cutting my hours back at work when I start SJSU in the fall. I am asking $3500 because it does not have a clean title and market value is not top dollar for race bikes. I am trying to sell quick to get things in order for school.
I wanted to race, and my neighbor at the time who raced AFM was helping me to get started. He went to jail, and I didn't have anyone to help me out. The window of oportunity has since closed, and now my focus is on school. I will pick this up again when I have the disposable income and time necessary to race. Not all of us are privileged enough to have mommy and daddy support us.

Second owner...
Purchased from shop that replaced the front end.
No damage other than minor cosmetic (bodywork was purchased used).

Who is that directed to? I bet most of the people on BARF dont have mommy and daddy supporting them or their racing habits.
Like YouknowP asked, are you the first owner? Whats the story with the title? Salvaged?

My post said contact me if you are interested, and I explicitly supplied my e-mail address. If you are a serious buyer and want answers to your questions, you can e-mail me. What I don't need is a vigilante thread jacker to cast unwarranted suspicions on a legitimate classified ad.
I never said that mommy and daddy were supporting their racing habits... costs of living and education are more expensive habits.
The status of the title is "Non-Repairable" and would need DMV inspection to receive a salvage certificate. If one wants this as a street bike, all it would need are a tail light and turn indicators.
I bought this bike from a shop about 8 months ago. They replaced the front end and had the frame inspected by the Frame Man after purchasing the totalled bike from... ?
I bought the two sets of bodywork for this bike with the hope of racing this bike and teaching my girlfriend to ride without too much of a hassle (just swap the upper).
Now I need to sell to move forward with my education. I have fully and unnecessarily disclosed the entire known history of this bike and my present situation publicly in order dispell any misgivings a prospective buyer would have from reading your posts. If any of the posters in this thread would have e-mailed me, then I would have communicated this information privately to a SERIOUS buyer.

BUMP :banana
Actually we were doing you a favor. By asking you questions to find out whats going on with the bike, we were saving you the effort of answering the same questions over and over again.
And thanks for disclosing the known history of the bike, but it was not done unnecessarily. If we're going to buy a bike from you, we want to know its history, especially when the title is "non-repairable," only has 1300 miles, is a track bike, and has never been to the track. It just raises some eyebrows and before anyone is going to buy it, they'll want to know whats going on.
And if you want to sell a bike, dont go around calling people "tools" because they make a comment to you, which I see you have deleted.
Good luck with the bike
