so i saw a 93 F2 for sale in the parking lot on the back of a trailer at work this morning. it has 36k miles and looks clean. the decals on both sides have been removed and the stator cover is scratched so i am suspecting it has been laid down. there doesnt seem to be any other visible damage, but i will have to look at it when it gets brighter.

this is why i like it...its only $1500!!!
what should i do???? ill be pretty much broke if it get it though.

down doesnt matter as long as it runs and looks decent, thats the price of a ysr so its not a bad deal. u sure u dont want to save about $4500 and get a 2001 or newer gsxr 600? :)

with the right mods a f2 will keep up with any of the new 600's. mine is a monster. its faster and handles better than all my other bikes and i have had alot over the last few years including a 01 gixxer 600 and a few sv650's.

Be carefull with higher mileage F2s/3s. The carb needles can get loose which can result in a loss of low end power. The regulator rectifier is another known weak point. Other than that, they are fantastic bikes. I'd opt for a clean example though. It has been my experience that cheap bikes are rarely the bargain they seem to be at first.

yeah after looking at it again in bright day light the bike is a more worse off than when i first viewed it at 5:30am. funny how black paint can hide the best of scratches in low light. so it does look like its been down on both sides.

i think ill hold out for a better condition one.
thx for the advice.

Well i know someone selling this particular bike if it's the same one for $1500.
(still, could be another bike) but I used to own it and know the ins-and-outs on it.

If you can get a plate # (and pm me), Ill let you know everything about it.
