View Full Version : Blessing of the bikes?

I spoke with a couple riding partners last night. They are riding to San Jose Easter Sunday for an event called Blessing of the Bikes. Is this something any of you have heard of? If so, what's it all about? There are about 15 riders going...if this doesn't pan out is there anything going on in the South Bay on the 31st?

Wow I havent heard of that. Id be curious to find out more info since Im in San Jo.

i spoke with one of my co-workers about it. she used to have an ex-bf way, way, way back in the day that rode bikes... anyways, blessing of the bikes is real but she told me it would be alot of hardley riders and maybe a handful of sportbikers. but who knows, maybe its changed and there are more sportbikers....

I've been to a blessing for a home but this is the first I've heard of this.
I would really be interested in going , please give details.

Blaze was right ! All harley event. I could have stayed in my neck of the woods and rode Berryesssa. Oh well, for what its worth, my bike is now blessed.

No joke! While taking pictures a guy says "What are you taking pictures of?" My partner replies "Bikes." Guy says " Make sure you take none of us!" As he walked towards a group of guys sitting under a canopy, the back of his jacket read " FRISCO - RED & WHITE" so to answer your question , yeah we saw a few.

Wow thats a lot of bikes to bless . Did they have enough holy water :eek

Since I didn't hear or see a post I figured it was off so I went out riding that day on a group ride with mrcrash, had a great time.
I still would have like to get the bike blessed.

Harley guy at work told me about the Bike Blessing... every Easter Sunday and its put on by the Outlaws motorcycle club. I think that's who does it anyway. Unfortunately, I heard the lure of the group ride and neglected to get the cursed cruiser undemonized.

On an alternate note, all the Hell's Angels will tell you once to not take their picture. I've been warned (by said Harley riding coworker) though that if you insist, they'll straight out kick your ass and take your camera :o
