Scott,

What mods if any have you done to your R1. Also, what suspension settings are you running???

I weight 175lbs (185 full gear) and have a completely stock R1.

I know Chuck Graves made a post (www.yzf-r1forum.com tech area) about setting up 02's very well with just a rear shock and doing some sort of shimming with the forks, which I have no clue about. Any clue as to what he's talking about???

Also, I'm running the Supercorsa's SC1F/SC2R but was thinking about going to Michelin's or 208GP's. Any suggestions??? Track pace would be 2:05's and below at T-Hill. Street pace is aggressive in the roads I know.

Thanks,
Robert.

Thanks for all your help, Scott. I have run the 208GP's before and really liked them when I had my 00R1. I will try them on the 02. I'll also take your tip on the 208GP "A" 240 compound for Track Days also. Thanks for the help. It's nice to see other R1 riders who like to ride aggressively.

Here is what I have done to the suspension of my 2002 R1:

1. Lindemann Engineering resprung (1.0 kg/mm) and revalved forks
2. Penske 8987 shock with 550 lbs spring and Lindemann valving

Jeez :wow For a second I thought I was looking at the specs on my bike-- 1.05kg/mm up front and 550lbs spring on the back end (ohlins though, and the valving by aftershocks).

Except I weigh well over 100lbs more than you :confused

Thanks,

Quit lying. That's my suggestion. Tell Winders the truth and THEN he'll help you. Otherwise, he'll just lie!

The only suggestion you ever made was the one with you dropping to your knees and opening your mouth. Still an uncomforting though.
