Does anyone have a list of these roads? The link to the article he had in Friction Zone magazine doesn't work anymore. I think hwy 36 was one of them, but I can't recall the rest :confused

I-5
I-880
Market St
Railroad Ave (pittsburg)
EB SR24 though Lafayette
:laughing
Actually I'm curious to know them too.

^ you forgot the I80. one of the best ways to enjoy the SF bay during rush hour.

you get to meet people, see the sights, hang out for a while at treasure island...

Yea, the link is not working anymore. Send a pm to the man himself ;)
Here's another article i found on his website which you might be interested in.
moto-rama

I was just on Pashnit this morning. 36 was definetly well liked.

Yah, that moto-rama writeup was pretty good. Highway 1 SF to Fort Bragg ... the BEST section is Jenner to Fort Ross, that is section just off the scale. The only "trouble" with Highway 1 is that on much of if, right turns headed north or left turns headed south, if you really blow it you better hope you're wearing your parachute AND your scuba gear.

128 from Cloverdale to Highway 1 is awesome, but like they said, traffic on nice (sunny) weekends can look most like a gypsy caravan.

In San Diego county, the Pines to Palms. And Montezuma Grade. And Sunrise Highway. All are absolutely immaculate. The South Grade of Palomar is not to be believed. It's only 7 miles, but you can spend all day going up and down that road. And when you get tired of going up and down the South Grade, then Mesa Grande Road is a great change of pace.

Highway 1 from Morro Bay to Carmel, IMHO, is greatly overrated. Beautiful scenery, but I don't consider the riding all that great.

Highway 25 and that whole area, that's pretty good, too. And of course Angeles Crest Highway and environs.

The rest of California, I dunno.

highway 36 is sweet. it used to have dirt spots here and there but now i hear that it is all paved. i have never been on it personally but have heard from peeps that have. it goes from red bluff which is off of 5 and goes over to the coast... there is a lot of nice riding in the back country up here in the sticks... 36 would be good to mix in with some coastal or redwoods riding. its pretty far up there though. you could make a full weekend and go through chester and quincy and hit 89 or 88 i think and head back to I80 and all that area.

Only those that have ridden that stretch of "road," and I use that term loosely, will understand.

CA-4 i think...its straight never seen any popo

You know, highway 4 actually turns into a GREAT ride up in the mountains. It's closed for snow right now, but once it opens up....mmmmm it's a good ride!!! Up in the Sierras...about 100 miles east of Pittsburg it gets good. Can be linked with 89 and then 108 back towards home...good ride!!!

:laughing No kidding. "How long can you stand on your pegs?" is always the question through there.

I think you missed #1: 238 between 880 and 580 in either direction.

:laughing :wow :laughing
