Concord policeman hits big rig, hospitalized with major injuries
An off-duty Concord police officer suffered major injuries Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a big rig at a Brentwood intersection. James Beall Jr., 25, was coming around a sweeping curve on eastbound Marsh Creek Road when he crashed into the rear trailer of a big rig as it turned onto Camino Diablo, Highway Patrol Officer Cliff Kroeger said.

The other news that I got- fourth hand:

He almost lost both legs... :Port to the Docs at John Muir- they were saved.

wishing him a good recovery...losing your legs would be a hard thing to overcome. Props to all those hardcore wheelchair peeps who do marathons and such...

Damn...wishing for a speedy recovery!

Anybody else ride Marsh Creek regularly? I'm usually riding it a few times a week. Recently there has been a huge number of double trailer gravel haulers flying out there. Be careful.
