About three months ago I got pulled over for speeding and the cop let me off with a fix-it ticket. He wrote me up for no front license plate, no registration sticker and wrong address on my driver's license. The dilemma is that I need someone to sign the ticket off so I can be on my merry way. Are any of you police officers in the Southbay? If so, I'll buy you coffee if you sign my ticket off :p BTW, yeah.. it's legit. Don't worry, I'm not trying to bribe any of you with a cup of coffee nor am I scary. (OK, maybe a little bit)
<PS> I am aware that I can go to the DMV and have them sign it off, but I don't feel like waiting in any lines. Besides, it's more fun to meet new people ;)

just call 911, i'm sure this qualifies as an emergency. :laughing
i've had good luck going to the nearest police station too, they're pretty friendly if you ask nicely.

I read this and thought: Sweet! A fix it ticket for speeding. "Sir, next time you go the speed limit you can have this signed off"
I suggest you speed again and when you get pulled over just say you were looking for a cop to sign off the fix it ticket :)

Really? I know Lance (L-2) was there, and he could possibly have signed off your ticket (dunno how different agencies work).

1. just to your local pd and ask the dispatcher for someone to come out and sign a ticket.
2. sit outside any local pd and wait for an officer to come out and then ask him
3. go to your local snell bux and hang out long enough....cops will come by and you can ask them...don't do it at a food place, I hate when my meal is disturbed for something other than an emergency.
4. come to berkeley and come to UCPD there, ask for a cop to sign off a ticket.
5. go to Grizzly Peak on any Sunday....I'm up there most of the day
6. come to Fairfield Snell Bux for a Monday night meeting, I'm always there..usually get there around 745 pm

No, I'm just making fun of the Snell Bux name! For some reason that name just cracks me up to no end, im chuckling now. It's a standard bux, just by the mall.

I got a fix it ticket on the cager for expired tags ( just for got to send the money in) and at the time I worked as a computer geek for the District Attorney. I always rode to work, and never drove the cager. Even though I knew the sworn officers well for years I could get no one to sign off on without them actually verifiying the sticker was on the vehicle. I even showed the current registration.
I finally arrived early on the court date parked the vehicle near the parade of officers going on duty. Asked politely if they would sign off explaining my perdicament, suprised the 1st one I asked did. Make it easy for them.
