Out of State plated 2 Stroke...Can I register it?

Howdy,

Looking at this bike:

It's currently registered/plated in Washington state. Has about 2800 miles on it and has a "0" in the 8th VIN digit.

How big of a PITA is this going to be registered here in California? I know CA doesn't like streetable 2 strokes...

One issue will be that the bike has less than 7500 miles on it. I believe the odometer needs to at least read that much for DMV to let you bring it into the state.

I'm not sure on the statutes regulating "scooters" though. Check the CA. Vehicle Code. Here's a link for you.
