This just isn't very clear to me. The subject says it all:

I am an amateur and ride the following:

2002 ZX-9R (with race plastics, of course)

Stock motor (jetted a bit)
I have a stock and aftermarket pipe
I have stock and aftermarket wheels

Thanks!

the aftermarket wheels will put you in superbike. 9R will put you in open class?

supersport is pretty much stock incl. wheels.

So, Unlimited Superbike and Unlimited GP? Is that what the classes are called?

I don't run big bikes, but would suggest running the GT race. I think your 9R can run in CCS GTO.

I always got my best laptimes at NHIS *after* the halfwaypoint during the GT events that I entered. A combination of fatigue and relaxation helped me get into the "zone" late in this type of race, a type of zone which isn't as easy to achieve in a sprint format. Although its sometimes called an "endurance" race, I found it best to sprint the entire 30 minutes. I found this to be the best race-tracktime.

Good luck!

Yeah, I think I'd prefer a GT type race. That sounds good. I've done enough track days to have the endurace to run 30 minutes at a consistent clip. Although, I know a track day is NOTHING like a race...
