"Novice Only" trackdays

Just thought I'd let people know that Keigwin offers "Novice Only" trackdays. They have racers there to help you out and give you pointers, without feeling intimidated or nervous about sharing the track with more experienced riders.

thanks for the info. so this is how it all starts - first a doc wong clinic, then a track day, next thing ya' know... :teeth well, let me get through the 4/20 clinic first. a cousin of mine suggested carting but my heart is with bikes really! too bad all the schools are sold out.

I'm helping a group of people conduct a Novice trackday later this summer, we've been putting together a format / itinerary of sorts on paper over the last few days. I was wondering if you or anyone else had any preferences as to format, what kind of assistance you would like to be available, and so on?

I think I have a good foundation from which to work, but naturally I'm all ears for suggestions and requests.

Something I found most helpful when I took the KC Superbike class was giant X's on the track marking where to start my turn.

I also felt having someone ride behind me and tell me how I was doing was helpful to know if I was taking what I learned and applying it properly. If someone had a tankcam to film me that would have been really good to see for myself just how I'm doing.

Damn, I wish I had a steady job and some extra cash lying around! Cause I'd really like to do a Novice Track day!! :(
