Can you?

This is another reason why I wanted a supermoto.. Learning how to back it in, is much more fun than the typical knee drag at the track. It feels so unnatural for me coming from sportbikes, but i'm learning!

have fun trying to learn. It is manymany hours of practice.I have tried and alsmost highsided every time it got sideways.

High-siding was definitly a part of my learning curve!! BE NOT AFRAID!!! That's why they make pain killers and beer!!

Sometimes I had to ride over my head to break the "plateau", at least that's what I tell myself when my knees ache.

just get some take-off slicks from some racer, and do a rainy track day. you'll figure it out...;)

oh yeah, get a slipper, too.

Like they say, learn on dirt.

I've gotten the rear to slide but I am still not able to ride that front and transition back on the gas.

I was able to slide the XR, but it wasn't pretty.

I backed in Chi's bike (sorry Chi) right into the grass. :laughing

That bike was skerry.

What a second... I'm getting a Husky 450 on Tuesday! :cry

I actually pulled off my first one last Tuesday! It was the greatest! The track layout was setup with a straightaway in the back and a left turn at the end. I was able to leave my right foot on the peg and tap rear brake, it helped to break the rear tire loose as I banged down two gears and stayed smooth on the throttle. I backed it in smoothly through the turn. It helps that my bike has a slipper clutch. But I had the biggest Woody after I did it.
I backed it in a few more times today! I also over shot the turn twice and had to cut the track through the grass. But I'm still learning. I've had the bike since December and I'm just now starting to get it. But I'm still slower than a dead turtle!
