Yes, I'm guilty of the most retarded infraction on the planet, since I've been sitting on my mail-in renewal for two months now.
Anyhow, if I drive straight to the DMV first thing tomorrow morning, other than waiting in line for a long time, what should I expect?
I actually can't find my renewal notice anymore, so is there anything I need to bring with me to the DMV other than my current registration? Anything I should do/carry in the event I get pulled over in the two miles to the Fell St. DMV?

If you have AAA road service, go there. You will be in and out in 10 minutes.

I did the same thing with my car since I've been riding the bike all summer.

Yeah, go in and lie. You might get a break.
And you wonder why cops don't cut breaks when you have a good story to go with your little mistake or rerror in judgement. Why? Because people are liars. I really get tired of being lied to and it sucks that people think it is okay to lie to get out of a pinch instead of being honest about it.
I feel sorry for the guy that DIDN'Tget his renewal in the mail and honestly says so when he goes in... and is told "tough shit" when he gets hit with the 40% late fees... because who's gonna believe him?
