Hello all,
In an effort to get more feedback for our club, I propose a town hall type meeting in the Bay Area somewhere. I am open to a time, (except for this weekend) location and a date (perhaps Fremont?) for this gathering. Maybe a local pizza place or Starbucks or ????? The purpose is twofold. One reason is to get everyone together and discuss more ideas for club promotion, gaining members, class structure and soforth. The other is so I can pass out our annual awards banquet forms so we can have an idea on who plans on attending.
I urge all of you who would like to be heard to come out and give us your opinions and/or suggestions. Let's get this going sooner rather than later so I can get our 2007 rulebook published.
Ideas for time and place??? Let's hear it!! (remember, not everyone can be accomodated regarding the location so let's try and keep it centralized, i.e. bay area only) As soon as we can agree on this than I will post it.

Yes, yes!!!
The karters do it so why don't we?
When and where is the awards banquet? Maybe we can have the meeting there?
I say we should have a meet every other race.

The Karting place sounds cool but Fremont might be a little far for some people. It isn't far for me, but Livermore or Pleasanton might be closer for most.
What about a date? How about making it for Dec 9th or 10th.

We should at least vote on a date. I say the sooner the gooder, because that's just the way I talk.

It's good to see everyone is excited about this. Here's the deal though...I won't be around this coming Sunday the 10th so how about Saturday evening on the 9th in Dublin? Maybe 5:00pm till 7:00pm or 6:00pm till 8:00pm somewhere?. I hate to cramp anyones night plans but this will be about the only time possible other than the following weekend (16th or 17th of Dec)
Like I said, one of the main reasons to expedite this is so we can get the rulebook out asap. If you can't make that time than I understand but we really need to get a jump on this and the sooner the better.
Thoughts on places to meet in Dublin????

I'll be at wedding on December 9th so this will have to serve as my proxy.
Things that I would really like to see go into effect:
1. drop worst result
2. keep bonus points based on grid size, 1 pt per entry
3. bonus points for improvement from pea pick (heat race start) to main finish (pea pick 10, finish main 1, 9 bonus points)
4. Classes requiring DOT tires: tires used for the 2007 season must be available to all competitors from at least three vendors located in the United States by February 28, 2007. I was one of two people with Dunlop TT92s last year. If the other person didn't get a set, I wouldn't have either and would have saved $150 plus 4 hours of my time.
5. NSR50R allowed mods: (a) any brake pads; (b) any brake lines; (c) any reed valves using stock unmodified reed block; (d) any stock size piston, rings, pin, circlip, small end bearing; (e) any fork and shock springs; (f) any air filter that clamps directly to carburetor and its sole point of attachment and support is the carburetor NO AIRBOXES; (g) aftermarket bodywork using stock mounting points on frame and stock upper stay; (h) any internal fork and shock mods; (i) frame sliders
