Those are the fines in Sac County. They vary from one county to another. That would be a good guideline though. Thanbks for posting it. Oh, also, for each prior moving violation on your record, most courts add $10 per violation. I don't know if that raises the assessments too. Just FYI, YMMV.
Also keep in mind, the total you get sent in the mail is likely lower than the fine you will get hit with if you lose in court. Fair or not, that is generally the case.
Thanks again Mike T. :thumbup

YMMV i suppose
i had a 84MPH on 280 not to long ago, and it was "quoted" in the mail at around $260.
i went to court, and got a final ruling of $180 plus traffic school.
I figured from that one datapoint that it would be better to go to court in the future to get my fines reduced for the effort.
interesting to hear the opposite.
oh, and FYI, this was not the "real" court, this was jsut the traffic judge, first appointment. i plead "Nolo Contendere" (which embarassingly is misspelled in the court documents in San Mat county)
So, i didnt go for the full blown "bringing in the cops" court date, since it was a pretty clear case anyways, and i got already off "easy". he could have nailed me much harder..... :) phew!!!

What with FPD being 65+ officers short, it doesn't surprise me. I had one try to tell me lanesharing was illegal too.

ok JPM......you got me. But the night when they stopped me was funny as hell because it was the first time I lashed out yelling back at the 2 officers saying, "Thats BULL" without the shhhhit ..lol
Serious though they are like broken necks looking hard at me everyday I roll through. Nice to see the same ole officers are still around and a few new ones to boot.
