Does fog,smoke or rain effect a radar when radaring autos for speed?:cool

Rain absorbs and scatters microwave- resulting in reduced range. It is possible (but very unlikely) the radar could track raindrop speed due to this reduced range. Proper training and the officer would recognize when this is happening.

Cool,thanks for the reply.I was just wondering because yesterday going through Farmington,I saw a Highway patrol radaring in the fog and I wondered if it was harder to get people going past what they should do.:cool
It won't change the speed, but will reduce how far a range they can get you with it.
