The wall was nice yesterday. I saw a few people there not sure if they are on barf. One guy had a pretty cool camera hook up on the front fork of his cbr600rr.

we hit up palomares and redwood on saturday..palomares had gravel on the first turn after the stop sign heading towards castro valley and when we got to redwood there were 2 cop cars following some bikes out so we took it slow ... then did a big loop around the bay.. anyone down next saturday... looks like 54 degrees on saturday

u have any routes in mind? best buy sounds good for a meeting spot
dont know too many routes, i usually only do pinole backroads and grizzly peak because they are right behind my house and there is a biker hangout at the top of grizzly. but im down to run any route.

was thinking of doing Redwood yesterday, but rode to 9 and 35...
How was Redwood?
seeing as people are getting in on this early in the week we can really have it crackin come saterday or sunday
J-Roc
01-08-2007, 07:15 PM
redwood looked good...no gravel, no dirt/oil..just too bad we were'nt able to enjoy it cuz of the leo's we saw coming down...
how was 9 and 35..we wanted to go there but hesitant cuz of the motorcycle vs. bicycle war talk goin on...i miss la honda...i love the long sweepers..
i need to find some new twisties...
i can have me plus 3-6 of my boys come out too.. Sat. i can ride anytime..sunday would have to be in the afternoon cuz of church..
im free all day saterday and sunday [:

How long of ride are you looking at? Short runs? Long runs? Any? Don't care? There is a road in Livermore I have been trying to go through for a while lots of twisties, even though I probably can't take them. I've been told that the road takes you into somewhere near San Jose so I am figuring it is over an hour ride.
J-Roc
01-08-2007, 09:04 PM
i've been thru there once..i think its mines to mt. hamilton...the first part had a bit of gravel but after that the ride was great..nice twisties and long ride...im down to ride all day..i forgot how to get out there but im definitely down..can anyone lead us there
like i said im free all day.. need a change of scenary im tired of my usual runs. just getting to mt. hamilton would be an hour ride for me.
J-Roc
01-08-2007, 09:08 PM
i feel u regP..im definitely tired of my backyard runs..since its still early in the week, lets see who else is gonna join to get a time that will work for everyone..all suggestions are welcomed
where exactly do you live? i get the feeling im the farthest away from where ever we choose to ride -_______-;

You might be, I live in Hayward and from Richmond it would be quite a ride down to Livermore and then from San Jose. No one to kick it with a little further south? I don't have the leathers pants for twisties, hopefully I can get some before the weekend, but I know some others up north. There is the loooooonnnng ride up 101 to take the back way to Clear Lake, but then we might as well just go LARGE and join guys on the Berryesa Loop thing they did. What I've always wanted to do is just do some cruzin and looking for places. I was all set to ride to Camanche Lake or Don Pedro, but it was to late in the day and I have just been to lazy to wake up early to go riding, plus it is so damn cold. Your butt diffenently needs to be broken in for some of the rides that I am suggesting, I don't even know if I am even ready because I was sore just riding to Tracy. But it is all about getting together right? Know thy neighbors?

I'm down for a ride, let me know what you guys decide. I'm not the most experienced twisty rider, been through Redwood a couple times.
J-Roc
01-09-2007, 12:49 PM
i live in san leandro. i think all of the good routes lead down to the 408...
how fast do u guys ride in the twisties? i have A, B, and C riders in my crew..(not sure who is coming yet)
i guess i'll throw up some options:
A:Redwood>Palomares>84>woodside>La Honda>1>La Honda> SkyLine> 9
B:Mines Rd>San Antonio Valley Rd > Mt Hamilton
C:?????

I live in San Lorenzo, so any really work for me. I'm not going to be flying through the corners (slow-medium). If you guys want to rip up the turns thats fine I catch the next ride.
I just want to ride with some new people. My roommates R6 just collects dust, and he says its to cold to ride for him.
J-Roc
01-09-2007, 01:16 PM
we'll work it out for any and all paces... medium - fast in the front and slow - medium in the back....i just wanna ride and have fun..like i said in the beginning..its been awhile so i wont be pushin my limits..
i have a friend doing the same thing..collecting dust...its either too hot or too cold for him to ride...i kno i can count him out already..haha
Conallron19
01-09-2007, 01:25 PM
Sounds good to me. What time were you thinking about heading out. I'm going out for a friends B-day on Friday night so I won't be up a the crack of dawn, but I'll set my alarm if you guys want to head out early.
J-Roc
01-09-2007, 01:40 PM
11 would probably be best for me..i gotta help wifey with the kids before i can go out and play..if that works for everyone lets set the starbucks by rasputin in san lorenzo as the meeting spot..

9 and 35 was cool, but lots of cars on 9 and the roads a little wet. Although I didnt mind at all, cuz I dont ride that fast.
I go to church Sundays too, but I attend an earlier mass when I know I'm riding that day.
Thanks...

How was the ride? I went back to 9 and Alice; it was hella cold... The coldest ever. I was with two other riders on 880 in San Leandro and seen a bike exit Lewelling around 1030 AM. I was wondering if one of them was you guys....

01-13-2007, 07:15 PM
What color was the bike? Wasn't me for sure, I didn't take 880 in the morning.
Ride was fun, but hella cold. I couldn't feel my fingers at all. At least the road was nice, and so was the food!

I couldn't make the exit, so I kept going thinking I would just turn around at the next exit. The next exit was a ways down, and it happened to be the Dumbarton Bridge exit, so I ended up just taking the bridge home.
Sorry that lost you guys. We definately need to meet up again.
JT- Thanks for setting up that ride, was a nice route.
