Any of y'all played with Adobe Lightroom yet? Looks interesting for high-volume shooting.

I haven't (though I should give it a run-through) but here's an online review / walkthrough of it.

That review is a little out of date. By 364 days, to be exact :)

Sorry, didn't check the dates. Played around with the beta for about 45 mins earlier today. The workflow and management stuff seemed pretty robust, but a little overly complicated for someone (like me) who is used to organizing by directory structures. RAW conversion is pretty woeful (an incremental improvement to Adobe ACR) so it let me down there.
Looking at it as a RAW converter / manager, my preference goes to Capture One, which I currently use. Its a better manager that C1, but for managing and converting RAW files (my primary use for this sort of app) it lacks. It probably does more than that, but I presently lack the savvy to really put it to the test.
If you have a Mac, my recommendation would be to check out Apple's Aperture. Very nice piece of software me thinks. And while it will change your workflow a bit, as you did experience with Lightroom, I did find the changes to be be overall beneficial.
I've played with Lightroom and loved it too, although I kept hitting bugs with it (thus the reason it's still in Beta) so I stopped playing with it after a while.

I've been using LR since it came out a few months after Aperture debuted. I think LR's great for tweaking RAW files and the price is right :laughing. And I guess once the beta period ends (supposedly at the end of Feb. 2007), I'll even buy it.
Though I have to admit I much prefer the previous beta version than the current, as the previous beta was much easier to figure out without reading any literature how-to's.
Haven't really read through this site (http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?showforum=31) but I think it's full of lots of LR tips.
