Help me convert .avi files to DVD

So I want to burn .avi files as playable DVDs. What's easy?

Drag & Drop easy; but you'll need a relatively fast machine if you want it done quickly. At maximum quality, it'll rip a 700 mb avi to dvd in about 45 min on a intel P4 2.8 ghz single core

Which Nero? I'm having a bitch of a time getting it to do anything correctly lately.

Nero vision; which should come with Nero 7 ultra edition. (do a search @ your fav torrent site) Although I like nero for burning; I get better quality (esp on my 50" plasma) when using vso imo.
