So I have a motorcycle that was in a accident, and the most affected part was the frame, the rest suffered little or no damage. So Im here with a bent frame and a bike that I still wanna ride. I found a frame in WI. Is it possible to plate it here?
I know its a long process to plate a out of state bike in California, but what about the frame?
That's really a DMV thing; LEO's never really deal with that type of stuff. But if you are using all the California legal engine and parts that were registered in California and just switching out the frame I don't see a big problem with it. But then again, I don't work for DMV. Give 'em a call.

CHP inspection may incur a fee of $50. They'll check to see the frame Vin# isn't stolen.
Bill of sale for the frame would be nice to have. DMV luvs papers.
Be interesting if the title stays clear or becomes salvage.

Why don't you have the frame checked out and see if it can be staightened? Call Gerry at GP frame and wheel, He'll set you up. It's not really that expensive (depending on how bent the frame is) and is a lot less of a pain in the ass.
