Hi all,
Dream Engine, the folks who put on the Centopassi, have published information on the 2007 event. http://www.centopassi.com/ (http://www.centopassi.com)
If you're not familiar with it, the Centopassi is an event that Ducati dreamed up to promote the Multistrada. It consists of four days of riding through the Alps on the high passes - paved and unpaved. It's sort of like an easier, shorter ISDE for the road. You get a roadbook for each day showing your turns and distances. You start on a 'minute', and must navigate to checks so that you arrive on your 'minute'. At the beginning and end of each day there are special tests. It is loads of fun!
Last year I was the only American who rode the competition class (there is also a tourist class that rides with guides and doesn't have to timekeep). This year I will not be able to go due to a schedule conflict that I can't resolve. I had the time of my life! It would be nice if someone else could show the flag in 2007.
I posted on Pashnit about my experiences last year.
