Specializing in end-user/desktop support, hardware configuration and network backups, and some admin duties as well. 10 years experience and references are available. I currently live in the east bay (Oakland) but am willing to commute to SF, as far south as Mtn. View and as far east as Concord (although I am still pretty flexible in this regard). If anyone has any leads, shoot me a PM!

I'm looking myself. Can you steer resumes to the hiring managers, or do you have to go through the website?

hey
what kind of IT salaries (senior business systems analyst kind of roles) are up for grabs at Safeway? There's a stack of jobs on that list that I could do, and closer to home too :thumbup
Yo Hooli, lemme ask about here where I work, I know there are some open positions............wait.........never mind, they pay peanuts. I'll ask anyway just to see

For the most part, SWY was willing to work with me on my salary, but I can't generalize with any certainty what they'd offer, as I think it depends a lot on the position, and who that position will be working under...
Lots of that political good ol boys club crap here, and the typical bs associated with large, old companies, but they're willing to play ball, as a huge initiative here has been increasing the quality of the workforce (they are a little TOO good about promoting from within).
And of course, working for a Fortune 50 company is cool in its own right...be sure to look at the benefits too, a little lacking, but for me they made it up on the bottom line. It's not as "fun" as being in high tech, but it pays the bills...
One of the former members of my group just became an IT recruiter here, and I'm still in contact with my recruiter, so at the least I could get your resume to the top of the pile...assuming you won't make me look like an ass...

oooooh
do you get a discount at safeway stores? I spend a fucking fortune on groceries at that place. That would be a tremendous benefit, plus not having to pay to BART to SF every day would save gobloads.
I don't care what line of business I work for, I do what I do whether the place makes ships or socks, I dun friggin care :laughing
hmmmmm

unfortunately, we only get a 10% discount on safeway brand stuff...margins in retail grocery are too low...bleh.
haha...I said the same thing, but it's definitely not the same as getting starbucks coffee in the breakroom, company parties on a mostly-regular basis, and new computers every few months
