View Full Version : 750 CSR carburettor throat

I'll be taking my 82 750 csr twin for a pro carb cleaning, but since I have this can of "sea foam" that I put in the gas and the crank case, I may as well use it in the carburettor as well.

It says on the can "With engine warm, keep on high idle and slowly pour one ounce through carburetor throat." . So, where exactly is the throat and how do I access it?

It won't do much for the carbs but it might clean some of the deposits off of the intake valves. If there's skank in the carbs, it's in the float bowls. Pouring cleaner in the venturi won't do anything for that. Check the tank for rust first.
