I dont know if i asked this question a while ago and if i did sorry i must have forgot any responses. however, is it normal or problematic if after i ride my bike the oil sight glass gets foggy? i just got an oil change not too long ago. what could be the cause and does the bike need any repairs? tnx

That *sounds* to me like moisture - i.e. water in the oil - plus the fact that the oil level should be such that you see it in the glass.
Confirm they replaced the fill cap tightly and added the correct amount of oil. Then bitch them out and do future changes yourself - it's not at all hard.

There are lots of guys using clear clutch covers, I've seen them get pretty foggy, to the point you can't even see the pressure plate...but goes away soon after startup.
You'd need to really do a bit of research on oil, but I wouldn't worry about it.
you know, I remember an EX500 getting VERY foggy (in the sight) when the oil would get over filled and it would froth. It got to the point that if you warmed the bike up you could only see a very dark, foggy sight.
Pretty easy to catch though, as the site won't have a split it darkness as the oil will probably be past the fill mark.

reroute your crankcase vent valve, a pointless requirement for motorcycles, and hoses.
remove the hoses and put an appropriate K&N crankcase breather filter there.
you will have to block and remove some hoses and ports.
this repair is not street legal, but at the same time, does not increase emisions.. .. the breather filter emits clean air.
this will reduce condenstion and thus fewer to no occurances of "foggy" oil level window.

it is best to run this with an stm or bucci valve, they have carbon fiber reeds in them that control
oil flow.

It is very common for Ducatis ridden in the cold and damp to have a foggy oil sight glass.
Sometimes synthetic oil or semisynthetic oil makes it go away. Sometimes the only thing that works is waiting until the weather gets real hot.
I've never spent much time worrying about it.
