Dual Sport Trip Barstow / Mojave

Hello,

Planning a trip to dual-sport in the Mojave. Probably satellite out of Barstow.

Anyone do some riding out there? Any tips? Any specific roads that you think are worth riding? Maybe trails into Baker?

We will be on a WR450 and a XR650R.

Room for a third? It is highly unlikely I can drop my bike in a river in Mojave.

Mickey and I did a trip to Vegas in April of 2001, and froze our asses off trying to get back over the mountains. Ended up going all the way down and around Mojave to get back. I guess I am saying, if you go in the next month or 2, it can be quite a bit colder that you would expect.

Oh yeah, I know a great bar in Ridgecrest, if misfortune should happen to guide you to that particular hellhole.
