Apple Experts: Wireless Question

I'm setting up a wireless network for a friend. The computer is a g3 or g4 iMac:

What's the best external USB wireless card for the thing or should I just get an internal airport card?

I would run wired to a desktop whenever possible. Faster, more reliable.

Beyond that, not sure. I only use wireless for laptops and (briefly) for my TiVo.

get an internal card if at all possible. far more convenient and less breakable/losable. d-link makes a usb -> 802.11g unit that ostensibly works w/ macs

i played around with mine for about two hours and decided that it sucked having one more Fucking Thing (tm) to worry about and returned it and bought an internal card from the apple store.

wired vs. wireless? wired is faster and cheaper, you get nice diagnostics (like blinky lights and such) but i can sympathize with people who feel having cables all over the place is a drag.
