I was down in LA visiting a friend this weekened and when I hear about the Presidents Day Weekend sale at Macy's I HAD to get there! :shhh

the guy was slick, too bad he didn't go to a mall with an attached parking structure. he could've parked outside the view of the helicopters, and by the time the security guards pulled the tapes, he would've been long gone.

This is a fairly old chase.

What you guys don't know is this idiot was caught the next day after reporting his bike stolen.

Correct me if I am wrong. But if you watch the whole thing. He was arrested across the street from macy's shortly after he got off the bike. According to the article it only happened on Feb. 9th. 2007

Crap, I stand corrected. I stopped about 2 minutes in.

There was a guy who did the EXACT same thing a few months ago down here and got caught after parking the bike and disappearing in the mall.

He was caught after being picked up by a friend and reporting the bike stolen the next day. Apparently he didn't think to ditch his riding jacket and the cops ID'd his gear from a News chopper video.

I'm suprised I didn't see this on the news last week? Its a way too common occurrence I hate to say.
