It gets a bit bogged down for at least a day after its release from mininova. I've been downloading them in less than 1 hour from release from another site. ;)

Are there any requirements for upload/download ratio?

I think the minimum is .25 or .50. Not sure since I usually stay above 1.0. The only reason the site is so fast is because of people who choose to share. Don't just leech, contribute for a day or two after you download.

mininova keyword search "moto gp" (sort by date) I dwld the 460 mb file (espn, decent quality) & 697 mb file (bbc coverage, decent quality, extra 30 min of add'l begin/end of race commentary) with no problems.

They implemented a new system that basically gives you upload bonuses if you just leave them idling. It really adds up even if nobody downloads anything off you.

i know, i left 20 torrents idling for a few months. it's not as generous as it was initially. my ratio jumped immediately 10% in a few hrs cause of that but they "throttled down" since then so i'm not "earning" as much

then again, hard to raise my share ratio since i d/led 110GB+
