History:
My original intention was to race in the 125 class, but I could not find one last year. So, I settled with Greg Becker's ex-AFM bike. I bought it from him a few months ago. Since then, I've gone through the entire bike, added some CF and HRC bits, modded a few things for reliable racing, and painted the V4 to my liking. Greg purchased this bike as an imported street bike from Japan through TZMike in 2004. He race prepped the bike, and used it for 2 years in the AFM 450 Superbike, 450 Production, and Formula 4 classes. The bike is AFM tech ready, and is race ready in its current state.

I took the bike out last month to obtain my race license. Out of the box, I felt really confortable on the bike. Our own Kurt Spencer mentioned that it was scary fast though the corners. It brakes awesome! Some of the guys at the track were surprised that it was only a 400cc.

The bike can do at least the following lap times:
1:50’s at Sears
2:03’s at Buttonwillow (CW)
2:07’s at Thill.

It finished 2nd overall in 450 Production, and 4th overall in 450 Superbike in the 2006 season. The bike is not street legal, no title.

I also believe it has an HRC ignition box or an ignition "helper" (there is this red box behind the gauges). I noticed that it did rev over the stock setting....

I WANT CARLOS's BIKE (hence the price)!!!!!

you always lose what you invest on these things
you'll be about even from what you paid

nice of you to quote Gregs efforts in racing to promote your sale

dont forget to mention the bike is not prod legal in its current form
(double bubble/brembo/wave rotors/wrong race tail)
I'm sayin ghtis as a few of my freinds have asked me about it already

Eddie

Most likely you will see me on the grid with it. I went to to CN's pad to chk it out. That thing will most likely be sold before I sell mine. Just due to the fact that it is one of the badest RS on this side of the earth.

Since Elena is not racing in Arizona, she will be riding the bike this weekend. Lets see what that bike can do.

I can speak first hand about what an amazing machine Carlos has. Elena crushed the field in formula 3 and turned a best lap (on the bikes AIM data system) of 1:54.65. In Formula 2 she started on the 6th row (second wave) and by lap 3 was fighting for the lead with Dan Cook on his TZ 250. She ended up second after being held up by the formula 40 back markers but unfortunately she was DQ'd for passing under a yellow. The bike is a rocket and pulled almost every 250 in the field. Of course, it helps if you only weight 105lbs.

Nice bike:teeth

Right on Matt. DQ'd!!!

Good that Elena had a good outting on the bike. I told Carlos I would try to make it out this weekend, but I couldnt.

Thanks for the bump.

But Greg did run the DB screen, brembo and rotors last year and no one complained. Anyway with five bikes on the prod grid does it really matter much? :) And all those options are legal for Superbike and FIV which still gives you two classes.

Craig,
bigger picture:
we all agreed for Greg to run on a gentlemens agreement.
I'm sure that would be the case here again, however:
This year, as I told the seller, we are subject to random inspections for prod, hence it is important to know that the bike is not prod legal, especially given that the average rider will probably want to be in a more evenly competetive class such as prod.

I dont think Greg had the DB screen, but he may have.
You were "commenting" more than anyone in regards to the rotors, in jest partly I know, but you werent exactly pleased with it.
