post something here so ya'll wouldn't forget about me :( :teeth
Feeling pretty bummed I wont be on the track this year. Crashing sucks :mad
I'll spend some quality time with the Busa though, gettin' her ready for the day I return to the track. Funny, after my street crash I was hesitant about throwing a leg over. This time I can't wait to get back on the bike. Weathers perfect and I can't ride. Bummer.
Think I'll show up at the next AFM round (or the one after that) to see what's going on. Who's going to the AMA round at Infineon?

Good to hear you are doing well. I was wondering how things were going and if you were still going to race. I was looking forward to seeing a Busa on the grid.

I know a few of us will be heading out to Sears to watch some friends race on Saturday.
Glad you're anxious to get back on the bike. I crashed myself on Thursday. Had to spend 20 minutes in the pits working on the bike before heading back out onto the track. That's the difference between dirt and pavement I guess. I was glad I didn't get hurt, especially since I landed on the clavicle that has a bunch of screws in it. Why no riding for the rest of the year? It's hard to imagine an injury that would keep you off a street bike for the next 8 months. It's like the definition of "low-impact". Right up until you hit the ground at least.

well, it's more than just the injurys. I'm sure the doc is being overly cautious, but he said that another hard fall or impact could re-break my ribs. That's not something I'm anxious to do again. And rehab for my shoulder could take awhile (torn ligiments and a tendon) I'm going to do whatever it takes to avoid surgery. :teeth
The other reason is that they had to cut my leathers off. That means at least $1500 for another set, a new helmet ($300), new boots ($150), repairs on the bike ($????), ect, ect, ect... and money doesn't exactly grow on trees in my neighborhood. The wife wants to invest in the house this year also, so since she has been so cool about the time and cash I've spent on the track I think I owe her some "off track" time and money in return. Compromise is the cornerstone of all succesful marriges. :angel
but next season I'm back baby!!

If the wheels are busted I have some TL1000S wheels that I think (?) are the same as Busa wheels.

yeah, those should fit. My rear rim took a shot and has a nice little bend on the lip. I haven't looked at the front yet.
How much ya want for them?
