Is it legal for solicitors to post their fliers/pamphlets in every residents door of an apt complex if there are clear "no soliciting" signs posted?
What would a complex do to "get back" at said people if they don't remove the fliers as asked?
Curious what the law says about this.
TIA.

This thread might be best answered by a Law Enforcement Officer. Luckily BARF has an entire section where people can ask law related questions (usually traffic related and more specifically moto related) but often general law questions are asked too.
Feel free to post in that section. Here is a link to get you started.

Many cities have ordinances requiring a permit for distribution of fliers and handbills, whether it is standing on a streetcorder, leafletting a parking lot or hanging ads on door handles.
You may want to check if your town has an ordinance pertaining to same. If there is, you could file a complaint and request the city atty prosecute the violation. In most cases, they can obtain a permit, for a fee, and the permit number is supposed to be printed on the flier.
It could also be a civil issue, where the owner can sue for cleaning up the "litter." I have seen cases like that which were successful. Usually it is when there is a big mall and they send security around to pick up the fliers in a town where there is an ordianance prohibiting the distribution of fliers on private property of off-street parking facilities (public or private) without the permission of the owner.
