I'm looking at getting an 06 or 07 GSX-R750 as a track bike. In looking at the stock suspension specs, I was pretty impressed. 1.0 front springs, 9.5 rear spring, and the stock shock has lots of adjustments. has anyone with this bike found that the stock suspension doesn't need a lot of help aside from setup? Those springs rates are perfect for my weight, which is rare for a stock bike. Thoughts?

GSXRs have probably the best stock suspension among all the Japanese sportbikes.

Mine has been great on the street so far. I will see how she does on the track in two weeks.
If anything, it could use a bit more rebound damping on the fork (pretty typical). High and low speed compression adjustments are nice.

I have been using Racetech revalved stock forks and stock shock on the 750 I have been riding. Both work VERY well. Roseville Cycle has been doing my work and I've been very happy with them.

i guess if the stock stuff is good enough for ken hill, it's probably good enough for me;)
thanks guys
I have a friend who has a 750 and is 230 ilbs and is on the stock suspension. He had Rob at Evolution setup it up including the ride heights and he says it works really good and he's a slow A pace. Instead of doing the suspension he just bought a set of marchesini wheels instead.
