For free? Wow, you are lucky. It's 1990 and 20k, but looks great! And free is free!

I'm looking into upgrading my chain and sprocket to a 530 conversion. I want some advice if anyone has done this yet?

I had an 03SV650S but I totaled it last year. Now I'm searchin for another bike. Probably spend 4-5K more than you. =)

Thanks for the great Welcome into BARF!
I'm thinking about getting a new bike but I was wondering how much do you guys think I can get for my bike?

Dude! I love that year and color. if you clean it up real nice you can put it in a glass case and parking it in your living room and in 20 years you will have a nice classic.

If I got this for free, I'd never sell it.

You'd want a 520 on a bike like that. And I'd go ahead and stick with stock gearing while you're on your learning curve.

And don't sell the bike. Spend some money on good tires and getting the bike tuned up (PM Elskipador) and you'll have one cool bike to learn on that everyone at Starbucks is going to talk about how cool it is. Just keep the thing.
