Put in my first offical ride last Sunday. Riding a 01 Ninja 600. Born and raised in the Bay Area (peninsula) and finally hit the twisties. Good times.
 
That's the best way to do it! I picked up my bike, rode it home, and then went out for about 100 miles. Congrats. :)
