Well ive decided i want to go to a track even with my bike. Now what im wondering is which club is the best for newbies. Ive been looking around and there is tons of track events but i dont know which one would be the best to go with because i know sometimes some clubs are more for experienced riders and i just dont wanna feel like out of place. Any comments would be apreciated.

Thanks

Both Zoom Zoom and Pacific Track Time have novice schools at their events. My first event was with Zoom Zoom and I highly recommend it. They have an individual instructor available on the track for you and classes inbetween sessions. It was a very easy going and welcoming environment.

Zoom Zoom!!! Take advantage of every chance you get to have an instructor ride with you during your sessions.

Ride Red Shift runs a great program for new track riders. They get a pretty broad range of first timers at their events. On my first day with them the C Group had a couple cruisers, a BMW touring bike, and a lot of poeple on brand new sportbikes. Their emphasis is on fun AND safety.

The curriculum and pace was great for my first track day. Highly recommended!

They are not clubs and you don't join. You pay a provider money to ride.

I recommend PTT, but pretty much any of the big local providers are excellent, all with their own strong and weak points.

All providers are fine if you have a C group of some sort to go into. More important would be to find a buddy to go with that knows the ropes.

PTT and Keigwans are great providers but Zoom Zoom puts together the best program for first timers in my opinion.
Very structured/unintimitating and safe for beginner track riders.:cool
