I got an R1 with a full exhaust and headers with PC...its been mapped on my friends computer, but when i accelerate outta first, there is knocking...kinda like when a car uses low quality gas...its the same noise, i hate it...anyone know wussup wit dat?

Low quality fuel can cause pinging. Siphon it out and refill with fresh premium.

assuming that you're already running the "good stuff" (91 octane premium) you could richen it up a bit.
My bike knocks when it's running lean.

and you also want to take cre of it soon, cause the knocking is wearoung out your bearings, engine and rings. not good!!

Race gas is not required.

But running lean is different than running the proper octane fuel. The stock compression ratio works fine on pump premium gas. If the wrong map was loaded up or it has a lean quirk in it, it can certainly ping.

Another tip- run some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner through it periodically. It's very good stuff.
