pick a place and time. make sure no LEOs are near or patrol the area. also no pedestrians, cages or anyone else that will get the LEOs to come down on us.

if you build it, they will come.

Like the rest have stated, squid days are almost null at this point. But feel free to ask for advice as to how to do what stunt and so on. You'll be sure to get more than one answer.

The biggest thing I have learned to is take your time........you arent in any competition of who can learn fastest, and it helps to have a good set of nads. Mine are tiny when it comes to wheelies.

You cant just try one stunt. :D :D

no shut up. aren't *YOU* supposed to be doing something other than post on BARF? something called schoolwork. pay attention!

but ya, pick a place free of cagers and LEOs. something nice and long and away from houses, apts, and any place w/ people.

I have a couple places in mind. I'll bring my police scanner just in case.

But what's the proper technique for a stoppie?

Do you just squeeze the brake, balls out and hope you don't flip over, head first?

ya, a PS would be great. :)

i think ken5150 had a write up on his site about doing stoppies.

instance, btb and all the BARF stoppie kings can give you more info. i've never done em' myself

you don't just grab a handful of brake though.

roll at about 20-30mph 1st then shift your weight foward while squeezing the brake. let the forks compress then squeeze more. pratice this till you lift the rear up. :) that's about all i know.

Pretty decent article Ken. I use a few different techniques but won't go into them so not to confuse these people. Anyways, it's all about baby steps. Some people see us stunt and don't realize all the time we have put into it. We just didn't get good out of nowhere. Practice and patience is key here.
