(Where about 10,000 rounds of ammo were fired by the police into the house. 62 houses burned to the ground, due to a 'breaching' charge being dropped on the rooftop by the PA State Police.)

Years ago, there was a FD tool called a jetaxe.
It was a shape charge made to rapidly ventilate or access a building... it usually blew the shit outta everything.:wow

There's a lot of negative that could be said, but overall, at least they did a test run before trying to actually breach in a hot situation
