Hi all,
I've been riding around the Bay Area and beyond for a bunch of years now. Suddenly (or not so suddenly) all my riding buddies are moved out of the area and the wife quit riding after having a kid. So ... I will be joining BARF rides as a strategy to get my arse out on more rides.
:thumbup

Anyway, I am in my late thirties and though I do sales for a living and I am thus pretty extroverted in the work environment, I am kind of introverted and borderline antisocial in non-work environments. Probably because I suck at remembering names.

Well, if you see me (see pic) on my black mille acting all anti-social, come over and punch me in the arm. That should break the ice. Just make sure you don't miss the arm and land one on the chin, or worse ... :kicknuts

Glad to be on board (pun intended), thanks and keep it on at least one wheel.

On most BARF rides the names are easy to remember. Can be certain to meet a-hole, tardo, squidly, knucklehead, wannabe, whassishface ... oh, and don't forget DOOD!

Check the social gathering forum, you should find a local Thirstday meeting to drop in on.

Happy :barfing

I sux at names too the first 6-8 times I meet someone; after that my mind is like..., like... a steel... dang! :(

:laughing

Come out Tuesday to StarBux at Snell/Sta Teresa and punch a few of us. :p

Nicely put. Thank for the warm welcomes. Thirstday sounds like a winner. I will stop by the social events for sure.

Bootsy Kay, I like the Suess quote. That's my other nickname (Suess). The wife wants a budget bike to get back on the road. I am trying to persuade her to hold out for a monster 695. Her inseam is only 30" and her specialty is tipping over bikes while trying to make low speed U-turns. I think she has done it at least 7 times. So ... i dunno maybe a budget bike is a better idea afterall.
